Personality:

Masao is a very light and casual person, especially around friends. He dislikes arguments between friends, and feels that those close to each other should never fight. In battle Masao prefers to take a supportive and defensive stance, although if forced to he will fight.

Masao feels that the best way to train is through practice, practice, and practice. A teacher should show a student how to do something, and then the student simply needs to work hard to perfect their skill.

History:

Masao was born to a ninja father, who had recently fallen in love with a local village girl. They got married, and when his wife became pregnant, the man decided that he would quit the ninja force, so as to ensure that his son grew up with a father. Using his accumulated savings and stipend checks from the village the father was able to ensure that his family had a comfortable life.

From early on Masao learned how to be a ninja from his father. He quickly picked up on basic equipment and its use, and learned his first few jutsu before even entering the academy. When he finally was enrolled, he quickly sped through, graduating in a mere year. However, his time as a genin was hard, as he disliked fighting and had no real style. After failing the Chunin exam four times Masao went away on a long trip with his father and a close family friend, hoping to establish a strong style.

When he came back at the age of 19 Masao was a changed person. Much more confident and powerful, he easily passed his Chunin exam with a combination of medical and rock ninjutsu. His time as a Chunin was uneventful, although he proved himself to be an excellent supportive ninja, and even capable in a fight if it came down to it.

After becoming a Jounin, Masao focused on more powerful rock ninjutsu, especially offensively as he was doing more solo missions. Later, while learning more medical jutsu, he developed a fascination for sealing techniques, and quickly delved into deep study and practice. After this time, the village decided he had been spending too much time alone, and decided to use him as a teacher for one of the newly forming teams of Sunagakure.
