"... Ninety-eight... Ninety-nine... One... Hundred."

Ryu spoke to himself between deep breaths as he worked out, something he did every day to always ensure he stayed in peak physical condition. Though, he was not doing squats, sit-ups, or even standards push-ups. Instead, he was doing hand stands on one hand, the other behind his back, an act that on its own would prove just what a great condition he was in. After hitting the hundred mark, he slowly lowered himself down to the ground, though backward from how most people would. Instead of going back to sit up normally, he went forward, doing a high arching back bend until his feet touched the ground, then pushed himself off the ground with his arms to push himself to a standing position. Slowly stretching before he reached down to grab the large sword from off the ground, effortlessly resting the flat of the blade on his right shoulder, holding the handle in the same hand. He was supposed to meet the team, eventually, but he had decided to show up to the spot several hours early so that he could get some self training in. Though as he turned around, shrugging his shoulders, his eyes narrowed curiously, seeing someone in the distance approaching, hoping it was a team member, as he could tell it was not his Sensei.

Kado's personal training was always... Odd. Though, simply walking around with both Tsurugi strapped to his back could be called training by some, as the weight would put pressure constantly onthe muscles as he mved around, causing them to strengthen... Kado always took it upon himself to find more ways to train himself, increasing his bodies abilities as far as possible. Now, for instance, he was walking on his hands, legs bent over his head, with one of the tsurugi strapped to them to not only to counter the weight of the other one, but to force him to not use his feet, as they were wrapped in the leather bands that kept the blade in place. He... didn't really give a damn if his other team members thought he was odd, though he had actually planned on arriving earlier, the way he decided to travel hindered his movement, unused to moving this way. The cloak he normally wore was bound up with the leather bands from the sword on his back, so it was easy enough to see... And spoting someone already at the meetig spot, he made his way over, to stop a metre or so away.

"...I am Kado. I hope we shall be able to work well together."

Kado showed a quite impressive armstrength then, as he shoved downwards, flipping onto his feet, hand reaching forwards as he returned to the ground to catch the Tsurugi attached to his legs, stopping it from touching the ground. From there, he unwrapped the leather from around his legs, and putting the blade over his shoulder, the leather over one shoulder, and under an arm, reattached it with the other behind him, on the opposite side to the other large sword. Reaching behind again, he pulled his cloak out from under the leather bands of the first, letting it drape around him, shifting in the wind... Finished altering his attire, he nodded to Ryu.

"May i know who I shall be working with?"

Ryu stood still as he watched the man approach from the distance, tilting his head to the side in confusion at the extremely strange pose, blinking slowly. The large man finally approached, flipping around and undoing his bonds, to which Ryu lifted his right hand to scratch his head in confusion, but just shrugged it off as the man spoke to him rather kindly. Ryu smiled and held out his right hand to him, offering a hand shake as a respectful and friendly gesture.

"Hyoujin Ryu is the name. It's nice to see a fellow Kenjutsu user."

He said, glad of the fact. That was this man, their Sensei, and himself. He doubted the chances that the third Genin would be the same, but heck, three of four wasn't bad. He hoped this guy had no unnatural skills up his sleeve that would make him lose all respect for him, but for now he was being optimistic, enjoying this guy for what appeared to be his main method of combat.

Taking the offered hand, he shook it firmly... A subtle squeeze on Ryu's hand to test the strength of his grip... It wouldn't do if his sword was for show, and the thugs he had heard, fabrications... A second of testing, and his grip softened, releasif the hand as he grinned, satisfied with the results.

"It is good to meet another who walks the path of the Blade... Though I am not entirely focused upon the path, I admit. Some dabblings in Ninjutsu, a little taijutsu to help with the style I am attempting to make with my swords... I have heard from some... Disgruntled people, that you have chosen to Only walk the path of the blade, defying the use of other techniques? That is quite Couragous of you."

None of his words were insults, stated in his normal polite tone... He had caught some rumor about Ryu. Some hatred of Bloodline users was mentioned at one point... Though he couldn't remember who said it. He wondered if his 'Immortality' would count, as it didn't really help in swordfights... Depending on the style used. He could still lose limbs, after all, which was hampering. Still working on creating a technique for fixing that, as well.

Noticing that he had become distracted in his thoughts, he offered a smile to Ryu.

"I am also always looking up new ways to train... Are there any you recommend for swordsmanship? I've been undergoing several methods to increase arm and leg strength, as well as hand dexterity..."[list=1][*]

Ryu would shake the mans hand with a grip that would rival his own without any effort. This man was indeed strong, but Ryu was quite literally in peak physical condition from his constant and varied training, a requirement for the level of skills such as himself. Kado's feelings on Ryu would be entirely assured when he spoke, his face immediately losing every last hint of its smile the very second that Kado admitted he worked with ninjutsu and only a bit of Kenjutsu as a side practice. Ryu's arms quickly went limp at his sides as he sighed, tone and expression both now lacking any care for the man.

"Training with the sword is something that does not matter if you are not willing to truly train. If you think you can actually show any level of skill with tiny bits of practice when you feel like it, then you will amount to nothing."

Ryu shrugged, careless eyes now glancing past the man, hoping Kirikata-Sama would arrive soon, for he felt like a training session with one of the few people in the village, if not the world, that understood his ideals and shared his true love of sword combat, unlike his partner that he now knew used swords as a gimmick.

Kirikata had been in the shadows, he knew Ryu well and had hoped he would go easy on his new team mates. "Alas..." he sighed before stepping outward. "Ahoy there kids!" he exclaimed, announcing his presence.

As always Kirikata was carrying his swords oversized handle on his back, the size of it alone was almost Kirikatas height and large enough to be an enormous mace. He had built a name for himself abroad before becoming a sensei, ‘Kiri no Kirikata’, The Mist’s Slicer. His silver hair perfectly shined in Kiri’s humidity, and he wore a smile like he just won the Mizu no Kuni lottery.

“I hope you two have been playing nice.” he joked before nodding to them, and introducing himself. “I’ll be your new sensei, you can call me Kirikata.” he awaited the reply of his new student.

Immortal Body VS. Legendary Sword [Kado] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Immortal Body VS. Legendary Sword [Kado]   Immortal Body VS. Legendary Sword [Kado] Icon_minitimeSun Apr 11, 2010 12:21 am

Seeing the other's expression harden over, Kado's eyes grew cold. So. He had heard that Ryu disliked arts other then Kenjutsu... but, just because he admitted to using other arts to Kenjutsu he became cold? how... Annoying. Kenjutsu was his Favourite, his most used, and most focused art... so it annoyed him when others thought he wasn't as good, just because he tried to increase his Kenjutsu abilities with other techniques from other styles... Seemed the boy wasn't going to be as fun to fight as he thought.

"Clean out your Ears. Kenjutsu is my Main focus, what i train for every day, every hour, to create my own way of fighting. What i meant, was simply that i have also trained in some techniques outside of it, so i am not truly focused upon the blade, so i am Able to use a few minor techniques outside of it. Kenjutsu is the way i fight though, and insulting my training is not a good way to form teamwork."

Kado had blended a few different things into his fighting. Intimidation, increased by not only his clothes and weapons, but how he looked, giving off a sense of Invulnerability, in that wounds were not easily shown... and the fact that he could keep fighting, even if severely wounded helped push that feared image on others... There was also the results of his Physical training. Maximising dexterity so as to execute more complex sword techniques, Increasing Strength, so much so that the two lage blades on his back could be wielded easily, and of course, Stamina, so he could continue to wield them for as long as he needed. But, he was not Truly at the point of Physical perfection, Only because he had also been working on increasing his Chakra reserves, and control, by keeping a constant flow through his body... the benefits already reached enabling him to easily increase his strength and speed beyond what a body could normall reach because of the flow. He had much more chakra then most genin already, and because of his own training methods with it, it was in a constant state of growth.

As their Sensei appeared, he showed no more a reaction, other then his eyes moving to him. A small glare was thrown to Ryu, before his stance became more... relaxed, slowly rolling his shoulders back.

"Good morning, Kirikata-Sensei. I am Kado."

A respectful bow was given to Kirikata... he had heard some great things about him... though he was unlikely to fight him anytime soon, such a thing was... desired. A subtle bloodlust flowed off him, unfocused, the battlelust that flowed in his veins, calling for a fight.

PostSubject: Re: Immortal Body VS. Legendary Sword [Kado]   Immortal Body VS. Legendary Sword [Kado] Icon_minitimeMon Apr 12, 2010 2:30 am

Spoiler:

"Oi, Kirikata-Sama!"

Ryu exclaimed quite excitedly the moment that their sensei revealed himself, clearly already knowing the man. Ryu did not only know their sensei, but had been a student of his for many years. This man was the one that taught Ryu how to wield a blade, the one that set him on the path of a ninja, and the one responsible for the forging of his legendary weapon. If not for Kirikata, Ryu would not be where he was today, and the eternal gratitude for such was clearly evident whenever he spoke to him. Ryu walked forward, strolling right past Kado without a single glance in his direction before stopping in front of Kirikata, looking up at him with his arms hanging limp at his sides.

"Where were you, eh? I've been having to deal with more guys pretending to be swordsmen."

Ryu said as he sighed heavily in annoyance, completely disregarding the fact that one of the men he spoke of was standing directly behind him, and could easily hear what he was saying. It was not that he had forgotten, but that he honestly did not care, for he was a boy with an iron will and personal belief that could not be beaten out of him. Kirikata too used quite a number of Ninjutsu, but Ryu liked to block out that fact as best as he could, turning his cheek to avoid seeing his sensei perform such jutsu. Sure it seemed a bit hypocritical, but this man had made him the swordsman he was today, on the basic level at least, and Ryu would do everything he could to ensure this man stayed above all else on his list of respected shinobi. The most important fact, however, was that despite using Ninjutsu, Kirikata was easily skilled enough to take down almost any opponent with his Taijutsu and Kenjutsu skills alone, which is what Ryu looked up to. It was one way of using Ninjutsu or Genjutsu that Ryu could look around easily - Having no problem with those that knew them, so long as they had enough true skill to beat an opponent without use of them. After a moment, Ryu stepped forward to stand at Kirikata's side before turning around to face Kado, bringing his left hand up to stick a pinkie finger in his own ear, twisting it. Pulling it out after a few seconds, he inspected the fingertip closely before shrugging, his arm once more dropping to his side as he stared at Kado.

"My ears are fine. It's my head that's in the wrong place, or so I have been told. It is my nindo, my beliefs. So long as you require any sort of other tricks that don't involve hand or sword to beat an opponent, then you have no right to pretend you are on our level."

Ryu shrugged once more, his face calm and empty, showing that he spoke the truth of his mind and this was how it always was. Turning his head toward his left shoulder, he looked up at Kirikata beside him, mumbling quietly before he spoke.

"Baaaka... Oi, when are we training? You know I'm not a fan of breaks for chit-chat."

PostSubject: Re: Immortal Body VS. Legendary Sword [Kado]   Immortal Body VS. Legendary Sword [Kado] Icon_minitimeMon Apr 12, 2010 9:16 pm

Kirikata felt the tension between the two as he smiled at Kado. "Hello." he greeted again as he started to ease his way back, away from both the children. Kirikata knew how Ryu could get... exactly how he could get. So, he hoped that he could handle this little bit of tension head first and let the two brawl it out. If the situation was good, Kado would be a good sparing partner for Ryu without using any special forms of jutsu that would just elivate the arguement. If so, maybe Ryu would hold his tongue on the matter, at least until they all met the last of the team.

"Now now boys, how 'bout we just speak through our steel?" he almost had to yell as by then he had inched himself a fair distance away from the 'swordlings'. A fun loving smile still on his face, he threw one of his smallest swords high into the air. "Touch blades now, and prepare. Have your last words for when my sword stabs into the ground I want you two to have a quick joust. Keep it friendly, and not to dirty; and when you are through, may your differences be put aside, and then maybe you both can come after me, and we can all be closer after the experience." he explained, his sword still heading upwards overhead.
