History: Bunraku was born within Sunagakure no Sato, hidden inside a large mountain located somewhere within Kaze no Kuni. His father was a violent and abusive man, and his mother was one to degrade and put down others, and take out of abused anger upon Bunraku. Bunraku was born with a natural genius-level intelligence, allowing him to learn and understand very easily and quickly, expressing this by his ability to read and speak at a very young age, though it was rarely noticed and never positively acknowledged. This corrupt family method continued for years, until the age of five, when Bunraku entered the ninja Academy. He did not talk in class, for he was constantly being asked where all of his scars and bruises were from, and he knew that telling anyone would only make things worse. He attended the Academy for a year, his vast intelligence being proven as he passed every test and learned the ninjutsu techniques with ease. Though, it was on the final testing day that things would change for the rest of his life.

While most kids were graduating from the Academy to become Genin, Bunraku had stayed home, not going to class on that day. His parents were fighting, and Bunraku had finally had enough, unable to take the physical, mental and emotional abuse any longer. During one of their many brawls, Bunraku grabbed some of his fathers' kunai and stabbed him, then his mother, killing them both. He then stabbed himself a few times, though not in any directly fatal area. As the villagers ran to the aid of the crying child they heard, shinobi arrived to handle the situation, frightened at what they saw. Interrogation of Bunraku, the child that appeared to be mentally scarred and emotionally destroyed, would let them know via the supposedly honest words of a young one that the father attacked and violently murdered his mother, then attacked Bunraku and left him for dead before doing himself in. It was a horrible tail, but they had no reason to not believe the kid, for his abuse during the Academy days was obvious. As he did not want to be in care of foster parents, claiming it was of his fear, he proved his ability to take care of himself, with a few villagers checking up on him every so often to ensure he was alright.

Rather than immediately going back to the Academy, knowing he would still have to redo the whole year anyway, he stayed out of the ninja training system and taught himself. He studied constantly, both through reading every single book and scroll that he came across within the village, but also constantly training himself in use of chakra control of all forms. Due to the fact that he was alone in his home over the course of several years, only leaving when necessary, details of his time are shrouded in mystery, known only by himself. However, it was during this time that he joined the religious teachings of the Jashin cult, adopted multiple personas, learned different forms of communication, and created his own ninjutsu, that would become his personal fighting style and eventually, the very foundation of his life.

After many years, Bunraku returned to the Academy, passed without a single word at the top of his class, and became a Genin. He has since joined a team, though where it will end up, most people would not want to know.

Kobushi [Feudal Warrior]
Bunraku's first puppet to ever be completely finished, this serves as his main means combat, with a unique construction so that the left side provides the offense, and the right side acts as the defense. Designed to look like an armored man, there is little way to tell it is anything else. It is made up of metal, though is hollow, save for installed weapons, to make it much lighter than it appears. It includes a katana, along with a mask that has a katana blade sticking up from the forehead. The mouth can open to fire a barrage of kunai, and both hands can fold back to fire metal wire from the wrists to bind opponents. The large maw of the chest can open to reveal a powerful flamethrower. If anything enters the 'mouth' of the chest, it can slam shut, the razor sharp teeth of it severing or crushing that which enters. The metal plates on the left side can lift vertically to expose summoning scrolls that will summon forth many more metal plates, each of which have the same scroll upon it, allowing him to quickly form a large metal wall to protect from attack too large to avoid.

Jutsu

Kugutsu no Jutsu - Puppetry Technique
Kugutsu no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique created by the Suna ninja, Bunraku. It allows a ninja to use a puppet or other objects to attack from afar. Using their body's chakra, the ninja emits strings of chakra that run from their fingers to the puppet. The puppet itself can be loaded with many weapons and tools, allowing the puppet master to remain hidden while the puppet moves and attacks the target. Secrecy, deception, and outnumbering the opponent are all key strengths of the unique fighting style. Finally, through training with puppets, he is able to use utilize most basic Academy techniques upon his puppets, such as Kawarimi, Henge, and more.

Kazekugutsu no Jutsu - Wind Puppetry Technique
Fuuton • Kugutsu no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique utilizing the Wind Element. After creating the original Puppetry Technique, he used his years of solitary training and knowledge to add this additional improvement. After performing a single hand seal, he will elementally recompose the chakra strings to infuse them with the Wind Nature. With this active, the strings of pure chakra and the most offensively potent elemental nature are capable of cutting through whatever they slice across. When this technique is active, the strings are slightly visible, appearing as nothing more than a slight blur in the air along their path. In addition, it takes a degree of chakra and concentration to activate, but does not take much to sustain.

Kugutsu Angou no Jutsu - Puppet Code Technique
Kugutsu Angou no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique created by the Suna ninja, Bunraku. So long as at least a single chakra string is connected to one of his puppets, he is able to use them to communicate for him. By simply moving his lips, as if silently speaking, or by tapping his fingers, or any similar action of Morse code, he can make a puppet talk. The 'voice' of the puppet usually comes out sounding rather dark and raspy, though not much unlike most masked men.
